NEW LONDON — A 33-year-old man who was wanted by police in New York was arrested on Jefferson Avenue Wednesday night, police said.
Officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the area of 324 Jefferson Ave. and found a man who had fallen down on the sidewalk. Police said the man was "agitated and somewhat combative."
The man, later identified as William Robertson, was placed under arrest and taken to police headquarters, where a criminal records check revealed that he was wanted out of New York for a parole violation related to a weapons charge, police said.
Robertson is also known as William Bolding, of Reading, Pennsylvania, police said. He was charged with disorderly conduct, assault on a police officer, interfering with police and being a fugitive from justice.
Police said Robertson is being held with bail set at $250,000.Copyright © 2015, CT Now
