Three people, two of them teenagers, were arrested following a robbery that occurred early Saturday morning on the North Hill.
The 32-year-old victim told police he was confronted by three males while he was on his phone outside a building in the 300 block of Congress Avenue.
The three males pulled their hoods up to cover their faces and one donned a gold colored mask, police said. Two of the suspects punched the victim and one indicated he had a gun, though none was seen, according to police.
The suspects took the man's backpack, phone and personal items and took off running, but Yale University police officers who had been alerted of the incident were waiting for them, according to New Haven police.
Each of the suspects ultimately admitted some involvement in the robbery, police said.
Shaka Shaquille McKnight, 23, of Herbert Street, and the two juveniles were each charged with first-degree robbery, second-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit those crimes.
One of the juveniles, 15, was arrested in another New Haven robbery last year. The other juvenile, 16, has been arrested 11 times since 2014, police said.
