Congress is expected to consider new gun legislation next week, including universal background checks and a federal gun-trafficking ban. Will Connecticut’s new restrictions, expected to pass Wednesday, and Colorado’s recent measures prompt the nation’s Capitol to act? Sen. Richard Blumenthal says Connecticut’s new restrictions won’t mean much if the measures aren’t national in scope. “No single state can do this alone,” he said. Will Congress follow Connecticut’s lead?
