Main Street Transformed Into Steampunk Festival

Manchester's Imagine Main Street finale became a Steampunk Festival, earlier this month.

The Steamrollin' festival took over the Forest Street Parking lot, MCC on Main, and Main Street.

"Steampunk is imagining a world that remained in the Victorian age, still powered by steam, but with a dash of science fiction and wonder," said main event organizer David Carlson, of Oddball Newt.

The evening focused on Steampunk art, music, and fashion. Musical groups included Frenchy and the Punk, Venus Lens Cap, The Eternal Frontier, Crimsong, Time Was, Alex Forest Music, and Ryan Ford.

Vendors were also included, but they were dressed in their Steampunk best.

By the end of the evening, Mayor Jay Moran declared Sept. 7 Steampunk Day in Manchester.
