MANCHESTER — After several months of investigating, the East Central Narcotics Task force and the Manchester police seized about 6.71 grams of pure heroin, about an ounce of marijuana and some drug paraphernalia, police said.
The drugs belonged to Manchester resident Alpha Diaby, who goes by the street name "Africa," police said.
Diaby, 25, was charged with possession of heroin and marijuana, intent to sell, possession of drugs and paraphernalia within 1500-feet of a nearby school, police said.
Police said they executed a search warrant to seize Diaby's resident on 281 Spruce St., apartment B-1, on Aug. 1, police said. Diaby is held on $250,000 bond, police said.
The task force works with Manchester, South Windsor, Vernon and Glastonbury to stop illegal narcotics sales, police said.
