Christ Lutheran To Launch Haiti Mission

HEBRON — On Sunday, June 19, at 11 a.m., Christ Lutheran Church, 330 Church St. will be host a presentation by missionary Kenneth Booe about mission trips in Haiti. Following the talk, the church's pastor, the Rev. Dr. Phil Booe, will discuss the church's plans to mount a missionary expedition to Haiti in 2017. Christ Lutheran is partnering with Praying Pelican Missions to assist Haitian churches building sustainable ministries that make a long-term impact in communities across Haiti. Christ Lutheran desires to involve the community in this project and anyone who is interested in Haitian missions are invited to attend. Free refreshments will be served. Lebanon American Legion Fathers' Day Buffet Breakfast

LEBANON — The Lebanon American Legion Fathers' Day Buffet Breakfast will be held on Sunday, June 19 from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Lebanon American Legion Post 180, 567 Exeter Road, Route 207. Tickets cost $8 for adults, $7 for seniors and $3 for children.

AHM Youth And Family Services

HEBRON — This summer's first production at the AHM's Youth Theater, 25 Pendleton Dr., will be the Broadway hit "Li'l Abner" starring a cast of young actors and actresses from the towns of Andover, Columbia, Hebron and Marlborough in July.

The 13th annual AHM Golf Open will take place at Blackledge Country Club, 180 West St., on Wednesday, July 27. To receive an invitation call 860-228-9488. This tournament is open to players at all golfing levels.

Gina Marie's Restaurant, Main St., Route 66, will be the site for this annual summer gourmet dinner to benefit AHM programs to be held on Monday Aug. 22. Joshua's Tract Passport Walks Program

MANSFIELD — There will be many special events to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Joshua's Tract Conservation and Historic Trust. The passport walks program will have over 25 walks through November, with plenty of opportunities to get a stamps. Collect 18 stamps and receive a string backpack with our logo. Get your passport from any walk leader or at the Trust office at 624 Wormwood Hill Road.

Hebron Lions 2016 Fireworks Call for Sponsors

HEBRON — The Hebron Lions Club is proud to host the 2016 Fireworks on Friday, June 24, with free admission and free general parking. The Fairgrounds will open at 5:30 p.m. The fireworks will be presented by Atlas PyroVision Productions. We anticipate over 5,000 people will watch the fireworks from our Fairgrounds. In order to put on the same level of display or greater than last year with free admission, the Hebron Lions Club is seeking individual and business sponsors. The benefits of the sponsorships for all levels include recognition on our website and recognition in our ad in the local papers the week of the fireworks. Sponsorship at $100 or greater will also include recognition on advertisement displays placed throughout the event. The rain dates are Saturday, June 25 and Sunday, June 26.

Community Trash Day

HEBRON — Saturday, June 18, is the day for all residents of all towns to donate their household items that are no longer needed to the Senior Friends of Hebron. This is a major fundraiser for the non-profit 501(c)(3) organization; donations are tax-deductible. Receipts will be given at the delivery of the items, as well as a coupon for shopping at Savers, the consignment store in Manchester sponsoring the fundraiser.

Senior Friends will be awarded funds based on the total weight of the items, not the value. Please choose items that are clean and in working order. Drop off on June 18 will be at trucks at two locations: Hebron Town Office parking lot, 15 Gilead St. and the Hebron Town Garage entrance at Public Works Yard on Old Colchester Road. Hours are from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Proceeds will be totally used for programs, speakers, community programs, and projects such as the Airline Trail donations of picnic table, benches and mural.
