Man Shot In Pelvic Area In Hartford, Police Say

HARTFORD — A man was shot in his groin area on Main Street Tuesday night, police said.

Police were called to 1994 Main St. shortly before 10:30 p.m., Sgt. William Mooney said. When officers arrived, they found a wounded 30-year-old man, who had been shot in the pelvic area, he said.

The man at first told officers the shooting happened inside a nearby building, but later said it had happened outside, Mooney said.

The man was transported to St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center for injuries that police said he is expected to survive.

Police continue to investigate the shooting.
