Canton Chamber Of Commerce Gives Annual Awards

Flatbread Pizza in Canton has won an award from the chamber of commerce

CANTON — Flatbread Co., the local pizza restaurant that has hosted many fundraisers for area non-profit organizations, has been recognized for its community involvement by the Canton Chamber of Commerce.

Flatbread received the chamber's annual "Service to Canton" award, the chamber has announced. In addition, the chamber has named Kristin Oswald, owner of Planning Partners, LLC, as its "Business Person of the Year." Both were recognized at ceremonies held recently.

Chamber officials credited Flatbread for helping local non-profit groups raise thousands of dollars. The restaurant regularly hosts fundraisers where a portion of its proceeds are donated to groups that hold them. At many of those events, the groups run auctions and other activities to supplement what they receive from the restaurant.

The chamber's business person of the year recognizes someone for outstanding performance in their field. According to the chamber's announcement, Oswald started Planning Partners, LLC, in 1997 and provides financial planning for individuals, families along with small businesses. Oswald is also a past president of the chamber and active in its outreach efforts in the local schools.
