Two teens suspected off rummaging through vehicles and stealing items early Thursday, were arrested after an off-duty officer spotted them in action, police said.
The 15- and 16-year-old suspects were charged with various burglary, larceny, and conspiracy related offenses, police said.
The off-duty officer saw an attempted burglary of a parked vehicle on Sunny Reach Drive and followed the suspects while providing information to other officers. Bloomfield officers assisted in establishing a perimeter and searching the area, police said.
Police said they found there had been vehicles burglarized at multiple homes in the area and the teen suspects were in possession of items that had been reported stolen.
