A woman shot on Greenwood Street Thursday night is in critical but stable condition, police said on Friday.
About 8:50 p.m. Thursday police responded to 34 Greenwood St. after ShotSpotter activation and calls to 911 reported a person shot and gunfire at that location.
Upon their arrival, police found a 55-year-old woman was suffering from gunshot wounds. She was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital and was listed in critical condition, police said.
The victim remained hospitalized on Friday. Police said she was listed in critical but stable conditon.
There is no description of any suspect or suspect vehicle in the shooting, police said.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the crime or has information valuable to investigators to call detectives at 203-946-6204. Calls may be made anonymously, police said.
