Manchester Police: Employee Shot At Restaurant In Busy Shopping Plaza

An employee of a restaurant in a busy Manchester shopping plaza was shot Saturday shortly before noon, and the shooter fled, police said.

Capt. Christopher Davis said one male employee was shot at Bonchon Chicken in the Plaza at Buckland Hills on Pleasant Valley Road.

The injured person’s condition was not immediately available. Davis said it appears the incident was not a random event, but it was unclear what led to the shooting.

He said he could not yet release details about the suspect in the case.

The plaza at 1540 Pleasant Valley Road is in the Buckland Hills mall area, and is a block from the Evergreen Walk shopping center. Stores and restaurants nearby include Olive Garden, PetSmart and Michael’s, and despite the snow and freezing cold Saturday the shopping center was busy around lunch time.
