A stolen SUV crashed into a Main Street bodega early Monday, and police said they believe the collision was intentional.
The collision happened in the 2500 block of Main Street, near the intersection with Westland Street, before dawn. The extent of injuries wasn’t clear.
Police said they have reviewed the stores’ surveillance video and determined that the SUV penetrated a wall of the business after striking it more than once. The SUV had been reported stolen, Deputy Chief Brian Foley said.
The men believed to have occupied the crushed SUV were found at Main and Cedar streets in Newington, Foley said.
Investigators planned to look through more surveillance footage from the police department’s Real-Time Crime and Data Intelligence Center, he said.
