A Manchester woman suffered a minor wound when a man shot her Saturday night on Ledyard Street, police said Sunday.
Police were sent to 330 Ledyard St. at about 7:50 p.m. on a report of a woman being shot at, Deputy Chief Brian Foley said. The victim was found with a graze wound to her right leg, Foley said.
Witnesses said they saw the 22-year-old woman walking when a male armed with a handgun got out of the passenger side of a stopped car, ran after her and fired twice, Foley said. The suspect got back into the vehicle and the driver took off, he said.
The victim was taken by ambulance to Hartford Hospital and was listed in stable condition. There were no other victims. Surveillance cameras captured parts of the incident, Foley said. Detectives believe the suspect and the victim know each other, he said.
