Detectives who heard shots while conducting surveillance in the area of Wawarme Avenue on Tuesday caught the alleged suspects after a short chase, police said.
Hartford residents Nathaniel Dejesus, 18, and Marico Ellis, 20, and Carlos Santiago, 42, of Manchester, all face numerous charges, including weapons violations and interfering with officers, police said.
According to arrest logs, Dejesus was held in lieu of $450,000 bail; Ellis, a parolee, was held in lieu of $525,000 bail; and Santiago was held in lieu of $250,000 bail.
Police said the three man got into a Volvo and drove off after the shots were fired. After failing to get away in the vehicle, the three jumped out and fled on foot on Franklin Avenue before they were caught, police said.
Police recovered a pistol at the scene.
