Victims Of Fatal Griswold Fire Identified, Investigation Continues

The victims of a fatal Griswold fire were identified Wednesday as Janet Lindquist, 61, and Kenneth Lindquist, 56, a married couple who owned the home, state police said.

The fire was reported in the early morning hours of Dec. 20 and fully engulfed the home at 70 Kenwood Estates.

“The investigation remains active as detectives continue to follow leads and evidence,” said Kelly Grant, state police spokeswoman. She said there were no additional updates on the investigation.

Investigators probing the deaths of the Lindquists last week said they had a person of interest in the case but no one has been arrested.

State police did not identify the person of interest as “detectives follow all leads” and continue the investigation.

On the day of the fire, about 6 a.m., a car registered to the Lindquist’s was found burning on Nanel Drive in Glastonbury, 40 miles away from their home.

State police said the two incidents are related but few details on either have been released.
