A Middletown woman allegedly driving under the influence and on the wrong side of the highway crashed car head-on into another car on Thursday afternoon, state police said.
Julianne Tedeschi, 44, was charged with driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol and driving the wrong way on a divided highway.
Tedeschi was taken to Hartford Hospital for minor injuries, police said. The driver of the other vehicle refused medical attention.
Police said Tedeschi entered Route 3 southbound in Wethersfield and began traveling north toward Glastonbury. She was in the right lane when her car hit a southbound car, police said.
She was given a field sobriety test and did not perform to standard, police said. She was released after posting $500 bail and scheduled to appear in Superior Court in New Britain on Nov. 15.
