State Police: Glastonbury Car Fire Linked To Deadly Griswold Fire

The state police said a car fire in Glastonbury Wednesday morning is connected to a deadly house fire in Griswold.

The fire was reported shortly before 6 a.m. at an apartment complex on Nanel Drive, Glastonbury Sgt. Corey Davis said. No one was injured.

Davis said state police took the lead on the fire probe and referred further questions to them.

Trooper Kelly Grant said the car had been abandoned.

“Through the course of the initial investigation state police detectives found that the vehicle is associated with the house fire in Griswold,” she said.
