A Windsor man faces assault charges after a stabbing at Bradley International Airport involving ride-share drivers, state police said. One person was treated for minor injuries.
Lyndel Lloyd Edwards, 28, of Sage Park Road, was charged with second-degree assault, second-degree assault with a firearm and first-degree threatening, they said. He posted $50,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in Superior Court in Enfield on Sept. 13.
According to police, troopers were dispatched shortly before 6 p.m. Thursday to the fight in the cellphone lot, where Uber, Lyft and other drivers wait for ride requests. Edwards stabbed the other person in the forearm and also threatened him with a gun — but didn’t fire it — during the clash, state police said.
The injured person was treated at the scene and declined to be taken to a hospital.
The disturbance stemmed from an argument between ride-share drivers, state police said. They didn’t elaborate except to say the two knew each other.
The lot is located near terminals 3 and 4 along Ella Grasso Boulevard, according to the airport.
