Birmingham Bowl

Memphis (9-3) vs. Auburn (6-6)

Time/TV: 12 p.m., ESPN

Line: Auburn by 3.

Of note: Auburn is trying to avoid finishing with a losing record two years after making the national championship game. ... Memphis, of the AAC, can reach double-digit wins and is shooting for a second victory over a Southeastern Conference team this season. ... Auburn ranks 73rd nationally against the pass, giving up 232.2 yards a game through the air. Memphis QB Paxton Lynch is a potential No. 1 NFL draft pick who's likely the best passer Auburn has faced this season. He has passed for a school-record 3,670 yards and 28 touchdowns with just three interceptions.

Belk Bowl

North Carolina State (7-5) vs. Mississippi State (8-4)

Time/TV: 3:30 p.m., ESPN

Line: Mississippi State by 7.

Of note: Mississippi State hopes to send senior QB Dak Prescott out a winner in his final game. Prescott is looking to end his career on a positive note after a 38-27 loss to rival Ole Miss. ... NN.C. State QB Jacoby Brissett has thrown for 2,448 yards and 19 touchdowns with just four interceptions this year. He has the ability to improvise and keep plays alive with his feet. ... Prescott is dangerous with his legs and his arm, throwing for 3,413 yards and 25 touchdowns this season while rushing for 541 yards and a team-high 10 TDs.

Music City Bowl

Louisville (7-5) vs. Texas A&M (8-4)

Time/TV: 7 p.m., ESPN

Line: Louisville by 4.

Of note: After opening the season with three straight losses, Louisville can finish with wins in six of its final seven games and give coach Bobby Petrino his 100th career victory. The Cardinals also are looking for their third win in their last four bowls. ... Texas A&M is trying to send home a second straight senior class with four straight bowl victories. ... Louisville has the 13th-stingiest defense in the nation, allowing just 323.4 yards per game. ... Texas A&M sophomore quarterback Jake Hubenak is making his first start after both Kyle Allen and Kyler Murray transferred earlier this month. He was 12 of 27 for 92 yards and a TD in five games this season.

Holiday Bowl

Southern Cal (8-5) vs. No. 23 Wisconsin (9-3)

Time/TV: 10:30 p.m., ESPN

Line: USC by 3 1/2.

Of note: USC leads its series with Wisconsin 6-0. ... Call this the Rose Bowl Light. While this normally would make a good New Year's Day matchup in Pasadena, the Trojans are in the Holiday Bowl for the second straight year while the Badgers are making their first trip to the bowl. USC won a pair of Rose Bowls against Wisconsin in 1953 and `63. ... The key matchup is Wisconsin's defense, which leads the nation in allowing only 13.1 points per game, against a Trojans offense loaded with offensive stars. Trojans QB Cody Kessler threw for 3,315 yards and 28 TDs this season.
