The Michigan House approved funding Tuesday for Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund (MNRTF) projects, including three in Montcalm and Ionia counties.
The projects included in House Bill 5364 are among 77 development projects totaling $16 million and 22 land acquisitions totaling $23.6 million. The projects include:
- Allocation of $132,300 for improvements of the Robert Lee Davis Memorial Park in the village of McBride;
- Spending $59,000 to develop a fishing pier at Belvidere Township Park; and
- Payment of $300,000 for rail-trail development in Ionia County.
MNRTF funding is made up of revenue from the lease of state land. The funding is designated on an annual basis to local governments for projects, according to a news release.
The measure now heads to the Senate for consideration.
