Congressman Justin Amash Makes West Michigan Stop

Michigan Congressman Justin Amash, made a stop in West Michigan for a town hall meeting Tuesday night.

Dozens of supporters came to the event in Grand Rapids. Amash touched on a number of topics, including social security, Medicare, military spending, and their impact on the national debt.

The congressman pointed out that he was one of only 12 other representatives who didn't miss a single vote last year. He also mentioned Tuesday’s New Hampshire GOP primary.

Representative Amash says he holds town halls because he doesn't think elected officials interact enough with the public.
