Detectives are looking for burglary suspects who struck in Fort Lauderdale on Saturday and in Palm Beach Gardens on Tuesday, authorities said.

The burglars abandoned a white 2014 Cadillac rental car in Palm Beach Gardens and stole a blue 2006 Toyota 4Runner from the 15000 block of 78th Drive North, Teri Barbera, a spokeswoman for the Palm Beach Broward Sheriff's Office, said.

The Cadillac is believed to be the same suspicious vehicle reportedly seen near one of two Fort Lauderdale locations, Detective DeAnna Greenlaw, a spokeswoman for the Fort Lauderdale Police Department, said.

The first Fort Lauderdale incident happened about 1 p.m. Saturday in the 3300 block of Northeast 59th Street, Greenlaw said.

The Cadillac was spotted on a neighbor's home surveillance system and reported to police, Greenlaw said. When police arrived, it fled, she said.

About 90 minutes later, several pieces of jewelry were taken from a home in the 2800 block of Northeast 37th Court, Greenlaw said. Surveillance video captured images of two suspects, she said.

The Cadillac next came onto police radar in Palm Beach Gardens. It was abandoned near a burgled home in the 15000 block of 75th Avenue North, Barbera said.

Detectives urge anyone with information to call Detective Anna Diaz at 954-828-5574 or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
