NEW BRITAIN—
Police have identified a woman who was found dead in a home in the Stanley Quarter neighborhood this morning and are preparing to charge her husband.Police were called around 8:15 a.m. after a relative found the body of Dia Palafox, 30, in the home at 91 Brighton St., police said.
The death appeared to be suspicious, and police obtained a search and seizure warrant for the residence, said Capt. Matthew Tuttle.
Police identified Juan Palafox, 32, as a suspect in her death. Dia Palafox had a restraining order issued against her husband Jan. 27.
Juan Palafox was stopped for speeding about 11 a.m. in North Carolina and is being held on a charge of violating a restraining order. Police are seeking a warrant charging him in connection with Dia Palafox's death.
