Greenwich car dealers and some residents are concerned about Gov. Dannel P. Malloy's plans to impose a "luxury tax" of an additional 3 percent on cars valued at more than $50,000. If approved by the Democratic-controlled state legislature, the sales tax would increase to 6.35 percent on the first $50,000 and then 9.35 percent on the sales price above $50,000. The legislature could vote as early as next month on the overall two-year budget.
