Karen Kawashima, an attorney at Grady Pilgrim Christakis Bell LLP, has been appointed vice chair of the Consumer Credit Committee of the Chicago Bar Association for 2010-2011. In that role, Kawashima will keep association members informed about the laws, regulations and court decisions affecting consumer financial services and further public awareness on the topic. Kawashima joined Grady Pilgrim in 2009, representing mainly banks, finance companies and other lending institutions. Kawashima received a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame and a J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law.
