VERNON — The wife of a Vernon man already facing a host of sexual assault charges was arrested Wednesday on charges that she aided her husband in sexually assaulting a child.
Jessica Wine, 27, was charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree sexual assault, conspiracy to commit fourth-degree sexual assault, risk of injury to a minor, fourth-degree sexual assault and conspiracy to commit risk of injury to a child. She was held on $150,000 bail and arraigned Thursday in Superior Court in Rockville.
Police began their investigation last spring after receiving complaints that Wine's husband, Daniel Wine, 45, assaulted children during sleepovers at their home. Police said they learned during their investigation that Jessica Wine was allegedly involved in sexual contact with one child when the victim was between 7 and 12 years old.
The charges against Daniel Wine include multiple counts of first-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor, and employing a minor in an obscene performance. He remains jailed.
