Daily Buzz: Should Congress approve President Obama's gun control agenda?

Driven by the tragedy in Newtown 34 days ago, President Barack Obama put his hand on the third rail of American politics Wednesday and proposed gun control reforms. He called for universal background checks for gun sales, a ban on assault-style weapons and high-capacity magazines, more money for mental health services and school security, and other measures to bring down gun violence. Some Republicans and NRA officials attacked the proposal as either ineffective or violative of the Second Amendment. What do you think?
