A man who was out jogging died after being hit by a tri-axle dump truck in Cheshire on Monday afternoon.

CHESHIRE — A 75-year-old Cheshire man who was jogging on Mount Sanford Road Monday afternoon was struck and killed by a dump truck, police said.

Police said they were called just before 2 p.m.. They said Benjamin Feinn, of 180 Remus Road, was dead when they arrived. The operator of the vehicle was not injured.

Police said the preliminary investigation shows that both the dump truck and Feinn were heading south on Mount Sanford Road when Feinn was hit. Police don't think speed was a factor in the accident.

Police said they are still investigating the accident.
