The state is giving the town $540,000 to help turn the former ski resort, closed for several years, into a year-round recreation facility. The money, which will pay for utility upgrades, will help the developer of the 250-acre site build a facility that will create 25 full-time and 200 seasonal jobs, Gov. M. Jodi Rell said.
