Edward Norton Lorenz

Edward Norton Lorenz, born in 1917, grew up in West Hartford before attending both Dartmouth College in New Hampshire and Harvard University in Cambridge, Mass. Lorenz is credited with being a founder of the butterfly effect and chaos theory.

Lorenz died in Cambridge in 2008.
