NORWALK — A local man surrendered without incident after barricading himself in a room in his home on Bonnybrook Road late Thursday night, police said.

Richard DiPasquale had an argument with his wife and then threatened to kill the family, the wife told police. He went into a bedroom in the home at 29 Bonnybrook Road and put furniture in front of the door to stop people from coming, police said.

The person who called police about 10:20 p.m. had concerns that he had a gun with him, police said.

The departments' emergency service unit responded and a short time after their arrival DiPasquale surrendered.

He was charged with threatening and breach of peace and was released on a promise to appear in court Friday.
