Robert Channick covers all aspects of media, including television, radio, advertising, public relations and viral tweets. A career that spans three decades, he has worked as a freelance writer, account executive, broadcast consultant and radio station manager. He began freelancing for the Chicago Tribune in 2002, covering a range of subjects for Metro and Business. In 2011, he joined the Tribune staff as a business reporter, coalescing his experience to focus on Chicago’s lively and fascinating media beat. He has a bachelor’s degree in English from Kenyon College and a master’s in journalism from Northwestern University.
