When Abdelbaset al-Megrahi was set free two years ago, it was one of the greatest injustices of our time. The terrorist, better known as the Lockerbie Bomber, was allegedly dying of cancer and had less than one year to live so the British Government released him on "compassionate grounds."
He was given a hero's welcome in Libya and greeted by Colonel Gadaffi himself. It was sickening. Made more sickening by revelations that Megrahi may have been traded for oil. Libya gets their terrorist back and BP oil gets drilling rights off the Libyan coastline. The BP rig is up and running tonight.
Last month, Megrahi was seen on Libyan TV at a pro-Gadaffi rally. Wasn't he supposed to be dead?
The Scottish government has lost contact with the terrorist which is a violation of his release agreement. But the same Scottish officials who released him are now saying that Megrahi has not yet violated his release agreement because of the chaos in Libya.
If and when we find him, I don't want him to go back to jail in Scotland. The rebels owe us. I want them to find him, handcuff him and send him to us. He should be tried in America and hopefully sentenced to death. There were 90 Americans on the Pan Am airliner Megrahi blew up in mid air over Lockerbie Scotland. Their families deserve justice. Either that or maybe Navy Seal Team 6 is up for a mercy killing.
