An Eden woman was injured in a Thursday morning traffic accident in Aberdeen.
A condition report on Cynthia Sommers, 48, was not available Thursday evening.
Vehicles driven by Sommers; Ernest Stahl, 20, of Aberdeen and Holly Hokana, 33, of Ellendale, N.D., were eastbound on Sixth Avenue Southeast, according to an accident report from the Aberdeen Police Department. The accident was reported at 11:55 a.m.
Hokana was starting into traffic in the 2300 block of Sixth Avenue Southeast after the traffic light had turned green, according to the report. Sommers' vehicle, which was behind Hokana's, was also starting into traffic. Stahl was behind Sommers attempting to slow down for traffic but struck Sommers' vehicle from behind, according to the report. As a result, Sommers' vehicle then pushed into Hokana's, the report said.
Stahl's foot slipped off the brake pedal, according to the accident report. It said he was cited for careless driving.
According to the report, Sommers' injuries were nonincapacitating.
