Sunday's high temperature of 56 in Aberdeen set a new record for the warmest Dec. 2, according to the National Weather Service.
The previous record of 54 was set in 1998.
Many record highs were set across the region, including 67 in Pierre, 59 in Sisseton and 56 in Watertown.
Today's high in Aberdeen is expected to reach 52, according to the weather service
