Marissa Owen, a senior at Hutchinson (Minnesota) High School, received a $20,000 four-year scholarship from the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs to pursue a degree in nursing. Owen is the daughter of Joe Owen and Bonita Owen, and granddaughter of Reino and Janet Maunu, formerly of Frederick and currently of Watertown.
Jordan Scott of Aberdeen completed an internship through the Interns in Industry program sponsored by Forward Sioux Falls. Upon his graduation from Southeast Technical Institute in May, Scott transitioned to full-time status with his employer, Amesbury Hardware Products in Sioux Falls. Scott is a graduate of Aberdeen Central High School.
Amanda (Flint) Krueger graduated with distinction in May from the University of Minnesota-Crookston earning a Bachelor of Science degree with majors in equine science and agricultural business. She is the daughter of Mark and Nancy Flint of Aberdeen.
