Virtuoso cellist Wesley Baldwin will headline an Aberdeen University/Civic Symphony concert at 7:30 tonight at the Johnson Fine Arts Center. The concert, “Ooh-la-la! French Night at the Symphony,” caps off a weeklong residency in northeast South Dakota, which included visits with students in Watertown and Aberdeen. Tickets for the concert are available in advance at Engel Music and will be available at the box office. Tickets are $13 for adults and $11 for seniors. Students are admitted free of charge.
Baldwin, a professor of cello at the University of Tennessee who has degrees from Yale College, the New England Conservatory and the University of Maryland, will appear at a pre-concert conversation at 6 tonight in Berggren Recital Hall.
Baldwin’s residency is sponsored by the American News.
