Michelle Lewis with the Red Cross tells South Dakota Public Broadcasting that it's been a busy year for the nation's biggest volunteer disaster response organization with significant flooding and other disasters.
Lewis says the disaster relief vehicle will help provide food and other items to those in hurricane damaged areas. She says parts of the east coast could be without power for up to two weeks.
The organization is seeking continued community support through volunteers and monetary donations to its disaster relief fund.
