The Aberdeen City Council will meet for an open work session at 4 p.m. Monday in the courtroom on the third floor of the Municipal Building, 123 S. Lincoln St., to discuss the purchase of a Spillman computer aided dispatch and records management system for the Aberdeen Police Department. The regular meeting will follow at 5:30 p.m. Agenda items include:
Hearing: A hearing for an application for a special one-day retail on-off sale malt beverage license will be conducted. The Aberdeen Area Chamber of Commerce is requesting the permit for a musical event June 17 at Fossum Event Area, Eighth Avenue Northeast and County Highway 19. There is also a request for a time extension to 11 p.m. for the J Reinke Entertainment musical event.
Petition of voluntary annexation: Two properties will be considered.
Petition to rezone: Set hearing date of June 27 at 5:30 p.m. to rezone a property in Gugel's Second Subdivision.
Renewal retail on-off sale malt beverage licenses: Set hearing date for June 20 at 5:30 p.m. for the following: Lafayette Casino, Eddie's Northside Sinclair, Heartland Cafe and Casino, Heartland Players Club, Jackpot Casino, Lucky Spot Casino, AJ's Casino and Rainforest Casino.
Licenses: Home day care license for Amy Pearson. Residential building contractor license for Joshua Walterman.
Beverage request: Jenny Melland requests permission to serve and permit consumption of alcoholic beverages at a wedding reception at the Wylie Park Pavilion Sept. 3.
Advertise for bids: Set bid date of June 21 for mill and overlay improvements.
Hearing: Hearing on an application for a new retail on-off sale wine license for Kessler's.
Hearings: Hearings for renewal of on-off sale malt beverage licenses. Eleven businesses will be considered.
Time extension for remodeling: Possible approval or denial of a time extension for remodeling Pizza Ranch. The city noise ordinance restriction is 10 p.m. The Pizza Ranch has requested to allow remodeling from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m.
Quit claim deed: Possible approval for city manager and finance officer to sign a quit claim deed to Steve Frank for property lot.
Authorize payment: Authorize payment of $6,316 to 3M for Brown County 19 holding pond.
Bid for cleaning: Possible approval to award the bid to clean City Hall to Aspire Inc. in the amount of $1,876 per month.
Bids: Recommendation on bids for 16th and North State lift station pump renovations. Quality Flow Systems Inc. has bid $36,400 for bid items No. 1 and No. 2 .
Bids: Recommendation on bids for Brown County 19 ponds project. J & J Earthworks Inc. of Graceville, Minn., has bid $290,252.
