Walsh plans to surprise crowds by playing old songs live for the first time, as well as many of the classics from his days with Barnstorm and the Eagles.

The Cab Calloway Orchestra ($39 or $54) — directed by Christopher Calloway Brooks — arrives at Hartford’s Infinity Hall on Sept. 6 at 1:30 p.m. for another classic swing performance. Later that month (Sept. 26 at 8 p.m.), the Purple Xperience ($34 or $49) — a Prince Tribute Band — will take Infinity’s stage, led by Doctor (Matt) Fink. Ellen DeGeneres’ favorite pop-rock singer, Joshua Radin, arrives for an Intimate Evening (435 or $49) with the Infinity audience on Nov. 5 at 8 p.m. At the Infinity Hall Norfolk, radio host Amy Ferrarotti and with DJ Rockin’ Rick Hall are bringing an ’80’s summer dance party on Aug. 21 at 8 p.m for just $10. Jubilee Riots ($34 or $49) — the Canadian indie-folk band — returns to Norfolk’s Infinity Hall on Nov. 13 at 8 p.m. Tickets for all three performances go on sale Thursday, July 30, at infinityhall.com or by calling 866-666-6306.

Guster comes to the Calvin Theatre and Performing Arts Center ready to perform its January-release “Evermotion” on Nov. 6 at 8 p.m. Guster will have a guest high school or college band open for them at each stop along the way — including the Northampton, Mass., stop — for which they are accepting applications through Sept. 21. A spoken word performance with Henry Rollins arrives at the Mark Twain House for two 7:30 p.m. shows Sept. 14 and 15. The first annual WimBash Beach Festival sets up in Old Grove Park at West Haven’s Savin Rock Beach on Sunday, Aug. 16, from 3 to 9 p.m. The WimBash All-Star Band features Doug Wimbish, frontman Corey Glover, drummer Daru Jones and guitarist Paul Pesco as well as special guests Oli Herbert, Kyle Ward, John McCarthy and Heather Joseph. Other bands also heading to the beach include Chemical Z, Maxx Explosion and Tears Fall Down. Admission is free and open to all, but WimBash Instrument and Music Gear Amnesty is seeking donations of gently used or unwanted instruments and equipment for underprivileged youths in Hartford.
