Australian indie-pop singer-songwriter James Gabriel Keogh, who performs under the name Vance Joy, found success in the states with his upbeat, ukulele-laden single “Riptide.” The song caught the attention of Taylor Swift, who hired Keogh as the opener for her highly successful 1989 World Tour last year.

Keogh has now embarked on his own headlining tour, which hits Wallingford this week, with a show in the Dome at the Oakdale Theatre on Thursday, Feb. 11, at 7:30 p.m. Opening for Vance Joy are Armstrong Leigh, an alternative duo from Austin, Texas. The show is general admission, with tickets at $27.50. 203-265-1501 and oakdale.com.
