To benefit Sandy Hook Promise, a non-profit group devoted to protecting children from gun violence, Tim McGraw brings his Shot Gun Rider tour to Hartford’s Xfinity Theatre at 8 p.m. on Friday, July 17, with young, country guitarist Chase Bryant in tow.
Although Shot Gun Rider can’t hope to compete with McGraw’s Soul2Soul tour — the most successful country tour in history — he will be performing hits from his 2014 release “Sundown Heaven Town,” as well as favorites from his 13 studio albums. Bryant will bring a slightly faster country style to the show as the opening act.
Tickets are available online starting at $43 for the lawn area and $61.60 in the pavilion. Children under 12 can attend for free with an adult who has purchased a lawn ticket. Information: timmcgraw.com.
