Guitar-heavy, shock-tinged, retro-’90s performances come to The Grand Theater at Foxwoods Resort Casino at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 1, in the shape of alternative rock bands Smashing Pumpkins and Marilyn Manson.

Both bands will be performing songs from their recent releases: “Monuments to an Elegy” and “The Pale Emperor” respectively. Smashing Pumpkins’ latest album is largely written by Billy Corgan who has led the group on vocals and guitar since 1988. Marilyn Manson has traded in some of the ghoulishness for a slightly calmer vibe on “The Pale Emperor.”

Tickets ($65-$95) for The End Times tour are available at ticketmaster.com. Information: smashingpumpkinsnexus.com and marilynmanson.com
