Mister F, the popular regional party-rock band featuring former members of Timbre Coup and Capital Zen, has accomplished a lot in the two years since it first banded together.
The eclectic, funk-fueled quartet is eternally on tour and makes two appearances in Connecticut this week: Friday, Aug. 28, at Arch Street Tavern, 85 Arch St., Hartford (860-246-7610); and Saturday, Aug. 29, at The Acoustic, 2926 Fairfield Ave., Bridgeport (203-335-3655). Both shows start at 9 p.m.
Recent set lists find Mister F experimenting with everything from The Beatles’ “Yellow Submarine” to Disney’s “The Little Mermaid,” from “The Ballad of Gilligan’s Isle” to the “SpongeBob Squarepants” theme, from The Surfaris to Gnarls Barkley. Information: misterfband.com.
