The internet is truly the great equalizer. In 2012, the video for “All I Do,” a single from Maryland rapper Logic’s first “Young Sinatra” mixtape, topped a million views on YouTube; before long, Logic signed with Def Jam Recordings and started working on “Under Pressure,” his debut non-mixtape album, with executive producer No I.D. (his credits include Kanye West, Jay-Z, Common and Big Sean) and longtime producer 6ix.

Recorded in only two weeks, “Under Pressure” debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 in October 2014. (The deluxe version features guest spots from Big Sean and Childish Gambino.) Logic performs at the Webster Theater in Hartford on Friday, March 6, with DJ Rhetorik and Michael Christmas opening. Tickets are $19-$23. Information: webstertheater.com.
