The 35-member International Contemporary Ensemble is a modular organization, meaning it can split up and roll into virtually any performance situation with the necessary instrumental forces, like a mobile strike unit.

At the University of Hartford’s Lincoln Theater on Thursday, April 23, they’ll bring a relatively large group of players leaning toward the winds, piano and percussion. (No word yet on the program, but expect one or two living composers you’ve never heard of — but should know.)

Showtime is 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25-$35; visit harttweb.hartford.edu.
