Glastonbury Apple Festival: 3 Days Of Music And All Things Autumn

The Glastonbury Apple Harvest Festival and 5K Race in Riverfront Park runs Friday through Sunday, Oct. 16 to 18, and features more than three dozen live bands (including the all-female quintet Run Jenny, Seth Adam, Frank Critelli, Sarah LeMieux, Lys Guillorn, Michael Cleary Band and other top Connecticut-based performers) spread over three stages, more than a hundred booths in the “Vendor Village,” food, rides, a petting zoo, pony and amusement rides, a Harvest Pub, nighttime screenings of silent movies, Saturday-night fireworks and a “bicycle scavenger hunt.”

The Angry Orchard Apple Harvest Festival 5K race (and related 1K and Kids Fun Run events) occur Sunday morning at 8 a.m. The registration fee for the 5K is $30 and $5 for the 1K. Festival admission is $3 on Friday night, when the fest is open from 6 to 10 p.m.; and $5 on Saturday (10 a.m. to 10 p.m.), and Sunday (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.). Shuttle buses leave from Glastonbury High School, 330 Hubbard St., Glastonbury. The park is at 300 Welles St., Glastonbury. Information: glastonburychamber.com.
