New musical boy group NK5 will perform at Wadsworth Atheneum and Museum of Art’s First Thursday Block Party, 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, at the Atheneum, 600 Main St., Hartford. Members of NK5 are Lil Redd, age 8, Gee Que, age 9, Lil Gee, age 10, Finess, age 11 and Ice, age 12. The group has two singles out, “I Like the Rain” and “2Gether We Stand.” A launch party will be held 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5 at The Lumsden Center, 555 Windsor St., Hartford, sponsored by Hartford native Joe Young of Maurice Starr Entertainment/Joe Young Studios.
