Colbie Caillat Bringing Slow-Burn Balladry To Ridgefield

It's good to be singer-songwriter Colbie Caillat these days. The daughter of producer Ken Caillat (Fleetwood Mac's "Rumours") had a giant hit right out of the gate (2007's "Coco"), followed it up with a duet with bro-dude Jason Mraz ("Lucky") and subsequently topped the U.S. Album charts ("Breakthrough").

Earlier this summer, Caillat dropped the first side of her upcoming "Gypsy Heart," including the breathy, slow-burning self-affirmation ballad "Try." The album's B-side should be pretty good, too. Showtime is 8 p.m.

COLBIE CAILLAT performs on Tuesday, Sept. 2, at the Ridgefield Playhouse in Ridgefield. Showtime is 8 p.m. Tickets are $80. Information: ridgefieldplayhouse.org.
