With its seventh studio album — “Somewhere Under Wonderland” — finished, Counting Crows is on tour yet again, bringing ’90s nostalgists to Mohegan Sun Arena at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 22.

The California-based folk-rock band is still led by pianist and vocalist Adam Duritz and guitarist David Bryson, who came together in 1991 after performing throughout the Bay Area’s open mike. “Somewhere Under Wonderland,” featuring “Palisades Park,” maintains the vibe of country-wide favorites like “Mr. Jones” from 1993’s “August and Everything After” and “Accidentally in Love” from “Shrek 2.”

Tickets ($39.50) are available through ticketmaster.com.
